6 Strategies to Optimize Your Next Launch for Better Conversions
You just finished a launch? Phew. That was a lot of work. Let’s set you up for an even BETTER launch next time.
Launching a new digital product, service or program isn’t for the faint of heart. Heck - being an online business owner isn’t for the faint of heart!
On the outside, it sounds quite quick and easy.
“I have this new thing, let’s make it available for people to purchase”.
Easy, right?
Well, you know it’s not quiteeeee so simple.
Launching isn’t what it used to be!
First, this launch is happening on top of all of your regular responsibilities! (If I know business owners, I bet you’re already at near max capacity. So this in itself can be a stress).
Second, it’s 2024! Potential customers have a LOT of options and their not as quick to grab their credit card.
Not to mention, all of the tasks that you may have going on in the background to have a great launch.
Setting up the back end of your new product or service - how your people will get it!
Creating sales and check out pages (and testing!)
Setting up a waitlist (maybe)
Planning a conversion event (maybe)
Creating content to promote your new product or service. Think, instagram posts, reels and stories, waitlist emails, emails for your regular list…
The list goes on!
Moral of the story. A launch is a lot of work. And there are things you can do and reflect on AFTER you close the cart/end your promotional period to set your next launch up for even more success.
Your launch review. DON’T SKIP IT!
The launch review - setting your future self up for success
After your launch, take 20 minutes to reflect and debrief so you can make it even better next time.
Here are six questions to ask yourself after a launch to increase your conversions!
What went well?
Celebrate the wins! Take note of what really clicked with your audience and made your launch successful.
What types of content and stories did the best? What email had the best conversion rate?
What didn’t? What could you have done differently?
Reflect on the... not so great parts. Maybe you didn't get as many sign ups as you wanted.
Maybe you spent way too much time on your phone during the launch and need to plan in some proper self care for your next one.
Overall, pinpoint where things didn't go as planned and why. It's all about learning from these experiences to fine-tune your approach next time.
Will you show up more next time?
People need to hear about your offer, a lot. Small business owners are so often scared about being "salesy" that they avoid showing up and talking openly about the offer.
I generally tell my clients that however many times they think they should be selling, double it.
Will you use a different method (waitlist, masterclass, etc.)?
Explore new avenues. Evaluate different launch strategies and be open to experimenting.
Are you tracking KPI’s?
Stay data-driven. Monitor the KPI's (key performance indicators) of your launch to gauge your launch's effectiveness. Numbers don't lie!
Did you leverage all of the channels/features that you use for marketing?
Most business owners I work with utilize Instagram and email marketing. So did you:
Show up on stories? Things like Q+A’s, talk face to camera about your offer, show social proof?
Did your content relate to your offer?
Did you use email marketing and use it effectively?

BONUS TIP for time efficiency: If you aren’t already, plan your launch on your task and project management system (I recommend Asana). This will work best if you create a project for your launch and input all of the things in board view.
You’ll then place all of those tasks in the weeks leading up to your launch. You’ll also add all of your launch resources, etc.
When you start planning your next launch, you’re going to simply duplicate the project!
RINSE AND REPEAT. Easy peasy. We love a good time saver.
